History

In 2007, Letty Mimura-Pincoe, the daughter of a successful local carpenter, business professional, and tradesman, wanted to build a business based in Hawaii, for Hawaii and the Honolulu Community. As a young girl she often awoke to the smell of fresh sawn timber as her father worked to support the family. His values and commitment to family and Hawaii was a driving force for Letty to build a business of Value that the Community can count on. Ms. Mimura’s father set out to not only build a general contracting business founded on the principles of Integrity, Honesty, Ingenuity, and Unparalleled Results, but based it on an approach derived from a philosophy that every aspect of Business will be conducted with a Spirit of Excellence. In turn, Letty knew how and what she wanted to achieve as a company owner.

Recruiting some of the most experienced construction project managers, tradesmen, and engineers in Hawaii, Ms. Mimura-Pincoe, together with this team of professionals and a loyal client base, has grown Pacific Current Contractors, LLC into a very successful Woman-Owned Business headquartered in Honolulu. Pacific Current Contractors is pleased to be pursuing participation in the Small Business Administration's 8(a) Business Development program, as a local Woman-Owned Small Business and Small Disadvantaged Business construction company.

Safety

Pacific Current employs multiple Safety Officers. Safety is not just a good idea for any business, it’s the foundation of every workday at Pacific Current. Our attention to detail and relentless pursuit and dedication to safety not only creates a better and safer work environment, but often results in higher productivity, healthier and happier employees, and benefits us in actual cost savings to our bottom line. Pacific Current holds regularly scheduled safety meetings both on and off the projects sites, in addition to the custom Safety and Health Plans that are written on a per project basis. All aspects of each project are preceded with a carefully orchestrated safety analysis, and review on an ongoing basis throughout the project lifecycle. Our Safety Department provides structured ongoing training on all aspects of safety including the proper use of equipment, dust barriers, lifts, tools, heavy equipment, hazardous materials, rigging and hoisting equipment, including project specific awareness and educational items. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS Sheets) are posted at all commercial and industrial project sites regardless of scope, size, and duration to ensure preparedness and proper responses should an event ever arise.

• Heartsaver CPR
• Adult First Aid for the Community and Workplace
